And Job Answered

In a message dated 9/8/2008 12:09:10 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, :

Then Job answered the LORD, and said, I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.”
Job 42:1-2

Job is going through the most horrifying, hurtful, and humiliating time of his life but allowed it to become the most humbling. Job’s humility is evident in the place and honor he gives God in relation to all he has experienced in life. At his seemingly lowest point he glorifies God. At low points in life the first response may not always be to glorify God, but consider Job. He lost everything and was able to acknowledge God as being able to do everything. Job got a godly revelation that instills persuasion that God is a limitless source. Do you have a similar witness or testimony? Have you allowed God to reveal to you His limitlessness? Do you have to reach the lowest point in your life first? What has gotten in the way? Have you allowed other things to be everything and your source? How has that worked for you so far? Job obviously became transparent with God. He learned that he could not hide his thoughts from God. I wonder what thoughts Job tried to hide from God. What thoughts have we hid from others? What thoughts have we tried to hide from God? Could that be what is keeping us from the understanding God can do everything? God can teach us how to experience limitlessness, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
