The Gospel (#7) Presented by Jesus

The Gospel (#7) Presented by Jesus
REVEALING THE THINGS OF HEAVEN

(Isa 57:15 KJV)
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity,
 whose name is Holy;
 I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isa 66:1-2 (KJV)
Thus saith the LORD,
The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:
 where is the house that ye build unto me?
and where is the place of my rest?
{2} For all those things hath mine hand made,
and all those things have been, saith the LORD:
but to this man will I look,
even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit,
and trembleth at my word.

(1 Ki 8:27 KJV)
  But will God indeed dwell on the earth?
 behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee;
how much less this house that I have builded?

(Mat 3:1-2 KJV)
 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, {2} And saying,
Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(Mat 3:16-17 KJV)
 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:
 and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him,
and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
 {17} And lo a voice from heaven, saying,
This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

9) SUBSTITUTIONARY ATONEMENT

JESUS TEACHES ABOUT HEAVEN

Heaven is where believers inthe Lord Jesus Christ will go at death, but unbelievers  will never see. When the spirit leaves the human body, heaven becomes the believer's one true eternal Home. Those who believe in Jesus are meant to happily anticipate heaven each day with great joy and delight. For heaven is the place of eternal joy, being in the presence of Christ forever.

THE NEW TESTAMENT AFFIRMS THAT GOD CREATED HEAVEN

(Acts 4:24 KJV)
 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said,
 Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and all that in them is:

 HEAVEN AND EARTH STAND UNDER GOD'S LORDSHIP
(Mat 11:25 KJV)
 At that time Jesus answered and said,
 I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
 because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,
and hast revealed them unto babes.

HEAVEN IS THE DWELLING PLACE OF GOD
(Mat 6:9-10 KJV)
 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
 {10} Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN DAWNED THROUGH JESUS' PRESENCE AND MINISTRY

(Mark 1:14-15 KJV)
 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, {15} And saying,
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye, and believe the gospel.

JESUS SPOKE OF HEAVEN AS A MESSIANIC BANQUET, A PLACE OF JOY, CELEBRATION AND FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD

(Mat 26:28-29 KJV)
 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
{29} But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine,
 until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

JESUS SPOKE OF HEAVENLY LIFE AS A TIME OF JOY, CELEBRATION AND FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD

(Mat 26:27-29 KJV)
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
{28} For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
 {29} But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine,
until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

(Mat 13:43a KJV)
 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father....

(Mat 25:34 KJV)
 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,
Come, ye blessed of my Father,
 inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

(Isa 25:6-9 KJV)
 And in this mountainshall the LORD of hosts make unto all people
 a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
{7} And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people,
and the veil that is spread over all nations.
{8} He will swallow up death in victory;
and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces;
and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth:
 for the LORD hath spoken it. {9} And it shall be said in that day,
Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us:
this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

(Rev 7:9-17 KJV)
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number,
 of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb,
clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; {10} And cried with a loud voice, saying,
Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
 {11} And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts,
and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
{12} Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might,
be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
{13} And one of the elders answered, saying unto me,
 What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
 {14} And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me,
These are they which came out of great tribulation,
 and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
{15} Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:
and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
{16} They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
 {17} For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
 and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters:
 and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

JESUS TAUGHT THAT THERE WOULD BE NO MARRYING OR GIVING IN MARRIAGE IN HEAVEN

(Luke 20:34-36 KJV)
 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
 {35} But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead,
 neither marry, nor are given in marriage: {36} Neither can they die any more:
for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

 CHRISTIANS SHOULD REJOICE BECAUSE THEIR NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

(Luke 10:20 KJV)
  Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you;
but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

JESUS PROMISED A HEAVENLY HOME FOR HIS FOLLOWERS

(John 14:1-6 KJV)
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
{2} In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.
 I go to prepare a place for you.
 {3} And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.
 {4} And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
{5} Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
 {6} Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
 no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

(2 Cor 5:1-2 KJV)
 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved,
we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
 {2} For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

CHRIST IS SEATED IN HEAVEN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER

(Eph 1:17-22a KJV)
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
 may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
{18} The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling,
and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
{19} And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power,
 {20} Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead,
and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
{21} Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named,
 not only in thisworld, but also in that which is to come:
 {22} And hath put all things under his feet,...

THE HOPE OF HEAVEN IS THE HOPE OF GLORY

(Col 1:26-28 KJV)
 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
 {27} To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles;
which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
{28} Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom;
that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD'S PLEDGE TO BELIEVERS THAT WE WILL PARTICIPATE IN HEAVEN

(2 Cor 5:5-10 KJV)
 Now he that hath wrought us{Grk=made us a finished work} for the selfsame thing is God,
 who also hath given unto us the earnest{Grk=down payment} of the Spirit.
{6} Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
 {7} (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
 {8} We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
{9} Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
{10} For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
